1.过去的十年里（现在完成时的标志）
within/throughout the past/last 10 years，见证了时代的变迁。历史时期不同的交通工具transport at different historical times。
现在与过去对比，时光流转，past and present，此刻即现在at present或now。
2.将A转变为B change A into B，变化显著，其中涉及了很多改变change（动词）a lot。这些年阳光镇是否发生了巨大变化？Has Sunshine Town undergone significant changes over the years?时代的脚步不停歇，Times have changed and evolved。在香港，发生了众多的变化（change n.变化，可数）。There have been numerous changes in Hong Kong。也可以说Many changes have taken place in HK。
3.（1）过去常常…（现在不这样）used to do/be。你过去对我友好。You used to be kind to me。过去有…，是吗？There used to be…, didn’t there?（2）A被用于做某事 A be used to do/ for doing。（3）某人习惯于做某事 sb be/get used to doing。
4.等待下一辆车需要很长时间。It took a considerable amount of time to wait for the next bus。
5.便捷迅速easy and fast，围绕城镇环行的交通十分便利。Reading P.8-11
6.对某事非常了解sth know sth very well。你对A的了解有多深？How well do you know A?
7.我一出生就住在这里。I’ve been living here since birth。从那时起，我们就居住在这片区域。We’ve been residing in this area since then。
8.搬家move house，远离旧居move away，迁居他处move to sp，从父母身边搬离move away from parents，迁入新居move into new accommodation。
9.在镇的南部位于town的北边in the northern part of town或者说in the north of town。
10.A与B喜结连理A marry B，也可以说A get married to B或A and B get married喜结同心。步入婚姻殿堂get married。
11.位于镇中心in the centre of town或者in the town centre，镇中心的一部分part of the town centre。
12.将A变作B turn A into B，镇中心部分地区转型为新公园，已将镇中心部分地段转变为公园。The government has transformed part of the town centre into a new park。
